La Llorona transcends from the world of the living to that of infinite waters. Images were created on 16mm film through alternative techniques.


Director's Bio:

I am an artist in the production of both digital and film-based media. My work is an exploration of cultural and gender-based representation, and identity creation. This exploration includes an engagement with isolation, connectivity and disoriented states, especially in relation to a concept of Otherness”. My work stems from an intersectional feminist perspective but does not always offer solutions to the problems it engages with.
