Director Bio:

David Kaye and Theresa Stefaniak first worked together in the early 2000’s as part of a theatrical stage production - Stefaniak was acting and Kaye played bass guitar in the pit orchestra. Kaye and Stefaniak wrote their first stage play together, a gender-flipped adaptation of Romeo and Juliet titled (fittingly enough) Juliet and Romeo (2011). In 2020, the team began to collaborate remotely on 48 Hour Film projects. 

They have experimented with multiple forms of animation utilizing Stefaniak’s broad range of visual art styles (including pen and ink, painting, and stop motion) and Kaye’s background in music and sound design. They continue to collaborate regularly and enjoy finding new ways to tell stories.
