After a night of drinking, hungover college student Samuel must win over his girlfriend's wine-connoisseur father when meeting him for the first time. Much to Mr. Sinclair's disapproval, Samuel struggles to describe the expensive wine he's served as anything beyond "good."

Director Bio:

After growing up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Ethan Kulinski now attends UW-Stout as a Junior pursuing a degree in video production. At 21 years old, Good Stuff marks his most ambitious directorial effort yet, gathering an ensemble of acting talent with Stevens Point ties. Ethan has interest in pursuing a variety of filmmaking roles, but hopes to continue building his body of work as a writer and director moving forward.

Director Statement:


When my family took part in a Napa Valley wine tour last summer, I couldn't help but find humor in my mom's consistent "good" reviews of the unreasonably expensive wine she tasted. That experience laid some groundwork for the script I would begin writing that fall, ultimately leading to Good Stuff. I hope this fish-out-of-water film speaks to those regular people whose regular palates have struggled to live up to the nuanced and complex tastes around them. I hope you think we did good.
