Wisconsin (Milwaukee Premiere)
Grayson, a young film production assistant from the city, has been tasked with getting food for set from a small-town Wisconsin dive bar. Facing pressures to perform on his first day of the job, he struggles to please the obstinate locals that view him as an ill-intentioned outsider.
Ethan Kulinski is a recent graduate from UW-Stout's video production program. At 22 years old, Three Chicken Dinners marks his first directorial effort since 2023's Good Stuff, gathering an ensemble of acting talent from throughout Wisconsin and Minneapolis. Ethan has interest in pursuing a variety of filmmaking roles, with hopes of continuing to build his body of work as a writer, director, and cinematographer moving forward.
Is it a little pretentious to tell you this is inspired by a true story? Probably! But ever since I picked up chicken for a film crew of my Senior friends as a Junior in college, I’ve felt this unexplainable urgency to bring the experience to life for others.
I don’t think I’ll ever forget that grocery run, and I don’t want to. Did I ruin someone’s day because of my request for 24 pieces of chicken and my incompetence regarding side availabilities? I’m still not sure.
