What does girlhood mean to some? Ages 7 to 63 share their experiences with being or not being a girl, from the connections it brings to the emotions it captures. Taking a deep look at girlhood and gender, Marie explores everything.

Directors Bio:

I am from Appleton, WI and started to explore the world through the camera from a young age. After seeing my mother work with a camera through her photography practices, I began to see how the camera can capture people in a beautiful light. Through her, I began to explore filmmaking.

I am currently a film student pursuing a BFA in Film from UW-Milwaukee's Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres Program. Through this program, I've started to establish myself as a filmmaker and editor. Currently, I work as a Film Arts Ambassador for UW-Milwaukee as well as freelance filmmaking on the side.
