When two young aristocrats stumble upon a maid being assaulted, they "save the day" by killing the perpetrator. As the trio transport him to the woods to dispose of the body it turns out it's an average day and each female plays their part.
Directors Bio:
My film journey's been quite the rollercoaster. I've cooked up some award-winning documentaries and short films. One of my proudest moments was when "Bloomberg's Art + Technology" snagged a Cannes Dolphin in 2018. Also, "Home Girl" got picked by BFI London Calling that same year. In 2018, I even scored a Best Producer nomination for "National Anthem" at the Underwire Film Festival.
I've teamed up with some big-name global brands, whipping up fresh TV and social content for the likes of Coca-Cola, Walkers, Tropicana, WorldRemit, FLANNELS, LinkedIn, easyJet, Novartis, GSK, UCB, DHL, NHS, and Channel 4.
Lately, I've been diving headfirst into directing. I even wrapped up five Sundance COLLAB classes and I'm now putting together my application for the Sundance Lab. Teaming up with some truly gifted writers and production companies to bring trailblazing projects to life.
One of my recent proud moments was my short film, "Custard Creams," scoring a Genera Grant and getting into the Oscar-qualifying BronzeLens festival. I've got a couple more shorts and a feature currently in the post-production pipeline.
But that's not all; I've also been directing content for some established institutions like the Tate, and working with well-known companies like Legal & General, Novartis, UCB, and Aldi. My journey in the film world just keeps getting more exciting!
Director's Statement:
"Girls Will Be Girls" is a dark comedy that fearlessly dives into the story of women's struggle against the patriarchy. This film is a daring and satirical exploration of the absurdity and resilience in the face of gender-based oppression. I am very proud of this film.
In a world where the patriarchy casts its long and oppressive shadow, we are pushing back with humor and biting satire. "Girls Will Be Girls" is an irreverent take on the serious and infuriating battles that women face daily. Our characters are not just comically outrageous; they fight the absurdity of gender norms and social expectations with well, weapons as their weapon. The humor in this film is a means to confront the deeply rooted stereotypes, biases, and injustices that women encounter.
"Girls Will Be Girls" is not just about making people laugh; it's about making them think. It's about opening a dialogue on gender equality, smashing stereotypes, and celebrating the strength of women who dare to defy the status quo.
I'm deeply proud of each member of our team for their hard work bringing this project to life. It was filmed in one day with a very talented team.
