Director's Bio:



Emma​ ​Keehan​ ​is​ ​a​ ​current​ ​senior​ ​at​ ​UW-Milwaukee​ ​in​ ​the​ ​Peck​ ​School​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Arts​ ​studying​ ​film. She​ ​is​ ​an​ ​aspiring​ ​director​ ​and​ ​producer​ ​and​ ​so​ ​far​ ​has​ ​had​ ​experience​ ​in​ ​both​ ​fields.​ ​She​ ​has produced​ ​multiple​ ​films​ ​under​ ​the​ ​title​ ​of​ ​Producer​ ​and​ ​Officer​ ​in​ ​UWM’s​ ​Production​ ​Club, awarding​ ​her​ ​the​ ​opportunity​ ​to​ ​work​ ​with​ ​professional-grade​ ​equipment​ ​as​ ​well​ ​as​ ​working​ ​with local​ ​professionals.​ ​Emma’s​ ​passion​ ​for​ ​film​ ​started​ ​at​ ​a​ ​young​ ​age​ ​when​ ​she​ ​was​ ​being recorded​ ​by​ ​her​ ​parents​ ​and​ ​asked​ ​to​ ​see​ ​the​ ​videos,​ ​and​ ​from​ ​then​ ​on​ ​it​ ​only​ ​grew.​ ​Her deciding​ ​point​ ​came​ ​when​ ​simultaneously​ ​she​ ​started​ ​the​ ​sport​ ​of​ ​fencing​ ​and​ ​Pirates​ ​of​ ​the Caribbean​ ​came​ ​out,​ ​exposing​ ​her​ ​to​ ​the​ ​opportunities​ ​film​ ​could​ ​give​ ​in​ ​many​ ​skill sets.​ ​From then​ ​on,​ ​she​ ​has​ ​choreographed​ ​sword​ ​fights​ ​for​ ​films​ ​and​ ​taken​ ​an​ ​interest​ ​in​ ​period​ ​pieces, especially​ ​those​ ​containing​ ​medieval​ ​weaponry.​ ​In​ ​the​ ​future,​ ​Emma​ ​hopes​ ​to​ ​direct​ ​her​ ​own adaptations​ ​of​ ​books​ ​and​ ​novels​ ​as​ ​well​ ​as​ ​direct​ ​and​ ​produce​ ​her​ ​own​ ​written​ ​work.
